Ranchi: The day after the Jharkhand government allowed intra-state bus services to continue, the majority of operators chose not to attach on Thursday.
Of 1,200 buses that ply across Jharkhand, only 400 strange vehicles continued their operations after a three-month pause.
“It will take at least four days for all buses to hit the streets,” said the President of the Bus Association of Ranchi Krishna Mohan Singh.
“The battery is dead and insurance paper has expired.
Drivers and other staff have returned to their homes and take strange work.
Even though the country has allowed transportation between districts to continue, this arrangement will take the time to complete,” Singh added.
In its circulation, the state transportation department directs all bus owners to refrain from raising rates.
“We hope for a 50% seating capacity, but there is no such limitation issued.
