Someone dies because of land caves at the construction site

Chennai: A worker died and two other people suffered injuries when the land surrendered while they explored a hole for the rainy water harvesting unit in private eye hospital on Jalan Tondiamarkpet in Chennai on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Chinnadurai from Vikravandi in the Villupuram district.
Akash, 21 and Veerappan, 35, both of them from Vikravandi, suffered injuries.
The accident occurred in front of the development building below.
The question revealed that the workers began working three days ago and they almost finished digging a 15 foot hole.
Chinnadurai is in the hole while the other two stands above.
The accident occurred around 2pm when the land loosely surrendered and buried Chinnadurai alive.
Two other workers were also stuck.
Because of being warned, fire service personnel and police rescuing arrived at the place.
They let go of the land to save three workers.
The three were rushed to the Stanley Stanley Hospital where Chinnadurai was declared “dead on arrival”.
Akash and Veerappan were hospitalized, Tondiamarkan police investigated.
An investigative officer said that they would slap the case of hospital management and contractors, who hired workers, because they failed to provide safety equipment to the trio.
