Ramgarh: Police on Wednesday arrested one person in connection with the murder of Mukhiya Mahesh Bediya.
The police said that the raid was above two more perpetrators.
Ramgarh SP at the news meeting said that Mahesh (42), who was Mukhiya from Bicha Panchayat under the patrate block, was killed because of monetary disputes over the construction of the toilet under the mission of Swachh Bharat.
His body was found on January 10 from the mine left behind from Central Coalfields Limited (CCL).
“We have arrested Sahil Ansari from Mahuatola Village under the Bhadanjarnagar Police post.
After killing him, he along with two other people, threw away the body in the abandoned mine.
Others will soon be arrested,” he said.
