New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi will make a last call on the strategic induction of the Kishor poll in the party and has held discussions with several senior leaders about this issue, said the source.
Some of these leaders have objected to their participation in the party, while others have wanted it because they felt he would bring a lot to the table for a party, they said.
Sources say decisions are waiting at the end of Gandhi.
Group 23 Leaders, who have written to Gandhi last year searching for organizational reshuffle, also learned to object to him to join Congress because this problem was discussed between them at the meeting, the sources said.
Kishor recently met Rahul Gandhi in the middle of his talk about joining the Congress Party and assuming the role of the electoral management key.
However, the problem was delayed because there were no last calls taken.
Kishor initially worked with BJP in the selection of Lok Sabha which was run until 2014 and after which joined JD (U) and was the vice president of the party.
Kishore also worked with Congress during the latest assembly elections at Uttar Pradesh.
He also helped the party in Punjab and was the adviser of Minister Amarinder Singh, a post he had just stopped.
