NEW DELHI: The Congress on Wednesday said party leader Sonia Gandhi has obtained the doses of Covid-19 vaccine while Rahul Gandhi couldn’t take the jabs however because he’d contracted the virus at May.
A senior party functionary stated Rahul Gandhi was advised to take the vaccine May 16, however, he tested positive to the coronavirus each day earlier.
“Congress president Sonia Gandhi has obtained both doses of this vaccine.
Rahul Gandhi will choose the vaccine following his wait period finishes,” a senior leader told PTI.
The comments come after BJP leaders asked whether leading Congress leaders, such as Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, had obtained the vaccine asked for the particulars of the vaccinations to be made public.
The government has stated that people who have tested positive for the coronavirus ought to choose the vaccine three weeks once they completely recover.
