Bollywood star Sonu Sood, who was in Srinagar, surprised street vendors by turning to their cages and promoting their merchandise.
The sood took to the streets of the flea market in Batmaloo in the city and began interacting with Shameem Khan, who had sold shoes and sandals for more than a decade.
The 48-year-old actor, who had received public appreciation to support migrant workers during a pandemic, asked about sandals and asked Khan to give him a discount.
Sood then urged his fans to visit Khan’s kiosk.

“Anyone who wants to buy shoes, come to a shy kiosk Bhai and he will give you a discount if you take my name,” said the actor in the video posted on Instagram.
“Kitna discount Doge? (How many discounts will you offer?” The actor asked, who said Khan, “20 percent.”
The sood is in the state to attend the launch of a new film policy that aims to change the Jammu Kashmir to the most preferred destination for the entertainment industry.
