Pune: Secretary of the Baldev Singh Industry Principle on Saturday said the government would soon come out with standard operating procedures for all sectors given the possibility of the third wave of Covid-19.
The head of the industry looks for standard operating procedures (SOP) to continue activities after all Covid protocols during their interactions with district collectors.
“SOPs issued are for all industries to ensure their smooth functionality ahead of the threat to come from the third wave,” Singh said.
The collectors will develop a plan for the district concerned after taking input from an industrial body.
Singh said this problem was discussed during video conferencing with all collectors on Friday night.
The relief assembly and rehabilitation of the Gupta Assembly said the movement towards a hinged normal socio-economic activity in vaccination.
District collector Pune Rajesh Deshmukh said, “If the SOP is given, the industry can comply with the guidelines.” Industrial representatives say SOP will be easier to be executed and monitored.
Chairperson of the Maharashtra Industry and Trade Association Room, Mohan Gurnani, said, “wise assessment, and the area must be done to resolve the way to continue activities.”
