Ranchi: The Jharkhand Government will provide RS 2 Crore Cash Prize, Rs 1 Crore and Rs 75 Lakh for players who win gold, silver and bronze medals at the Tokyo Olympics, Minister of Hemant Soren’s minister was announced on Saturday.
Virtually interacting with the players in front of the game scheduled later this month, Soren also announced Rs 50 Lakh for Deepika Kumari’s archers for the duties of gold in archery the world of arrows recently concluded stage 3 in Paris, both in teams and events each while the RS 20 Lakh each will be given to two other teammates – Komolika Bari and Ankita Bhagat.
The other Lakh RS 15 will be given to the archery coach Purnima Mahto, who plays an important role for the golden winner’s archery team in Paris.
Soren further announced RS 5 Lakh each for Hockey girls, Nikki Pradhan and Salima Tete, who were in the Indian team in the Tokyo match as a sign of awards and encouraging to install a good show.
All players who receive prizes, three Olympians and coaches are online during interaction with Soren.
Appreciating the contribution of the players, Soren said, “All of you are the pride of our country and our country and we clamp the great hope on you again at the upcoming Olympics.
The state government is committed to promoting sports and players and will do everything possible in this matter.
“Soren also told them that a new sports policy prepared by the state focused on the overall promotion of sports and players with a special focus on developing games from grassroots.
“We are working on the creation of facilities for the player’s complement at the Panchayat level,” he added.
Talking with Tii by telephone, Deepika praised the government’s move and said they were driven by the appreciation and support of the ministerial heads.
“It was a great interaction before the Olympics.
I will do the best this time to reach gold,” he said, adding that such interactions often help overcome pressure.
He, however, refused to talk about his preparations for the Olympics and other topics, citing the code of ethics before the Mega event.

Deepika also became number 1 the world followed a gold medal hat-trick during the event in the individual category.
On the other hand, Nikki Pradhan will be on the Indian Olympic team for the second time while Salima Tete will take part in the game for the first time.
