Soren laid the bottom of 14 rice factories to be established in 10 districts

Ranchi: Head of Minister of Hemant Soren with the Minister of Food Department and Civil Equipment Rameshwar Oraon on Monday laying the foundation stone of 14 rice factories in the state to be established by state food processing policies.
These factories will be established in 10 districts namely West Singbhum, Simdega, Godda, Palamau, Khunti, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Tastar, Garhwa and Gumla.
Soren said the new factory not only produced work but would significantly contribute to the income of farmers in the state to help them get the right price for their products.
Citing the scarcity of factories in the state, he said, “On average, we produce 50-60 lakh metric tons of rice every year but can only process around 15 lakh tons into rice due to lack of factories in our country.
At present, we only has 80 mills but there are requirements around 100 more.
As a result, the government often cannot get more rice from farmers with minimum support prices.
But once the factory is ready, we will be able to overcome this problem.
This is only the beginning and our plan is to have a factory Enough in each district.
“Soren added that food processing and the sector sector was one of its government’s priority fields to increase farmer income and improve the agricultural sector.
“With around 70% of our populations living in villages and depending on agriculture for livelihoods, we strive to overcome all shortcomings in the distance to increase the entire production cycle and addition of values,” he said ..ora agreed, added it.
The government must also focus on factory settings for wheat and pulses now.
He said, “Paddy is our main plant here but the state now also produces enough pulse and wheat.
We only do not have enough factories to process it.” All proposed factories have received land on 50% subsidies through industrial estate development authorities Jharkhand (Jiada).
Industrial Department Secretary Pooja Singhal said the existing food processing policy, which was originally launched in 2016, has now been extended for another year by the cabinet last week.
