Bhopal: A 13-year-old boy hanged himself in Chhatarpur MP on Friday after realizing that he had spent Rs 40,000 in online battle matches.
The child left a suicide note, written on the page from his school copy, looking for forgiveness from his parents for spending money.
“Sorry, please don’t cry,” wrote the 6th class.
Chhatarpur SAm Sachin Sharma said they had not taken a statement of parents.
Authorization of parents is mandatory for purchases carried out by anyone under 18, SP said, adding: “The role of gaming applications is also part of our investigation.” Cyber cells are checking the phone, and experts in Bhopal will also check it out.
The child’s mother worked in the Pathology Department of the Chhatarpur Government Hospital, and her father was also a pathologist.
On Friday, the mother received a message about Rs 1,500 transactions on the phone, and spoke to the child about it.
A little later, the man’s sister found him hanging in a room.
The suicide note becomes viral, triggering emotional waves in the state.
President of the MP Association of Parents Kamal Vishwakarma demanded a ban like that.
