The passage of Irrfan, one of the most respected actors throughout the world, on April 29, 2020, is a big loss for the world of cinema.
On the occasion of his birthday, the wife of Sutapa Sikdar spoke to the Bombay Times about posting Irrfan’s life, which would change 55 today, and how he changed himself as a person.
He commemorates, “You never get more than losing people who are loved ones.
You only learn to deal with pain.

Healing of the loss is not easy and Sutapa continues to tell us what helps sail him through this.
“There is a word called’Sabar ‘in Urdu, which gives me strength and peace to continue.
I think it’s a word and surrendered to Almighty, “he said.
Speaking of birthdays, Irrfan is not a fan of a birthday celebration when he finds it all materialistic.
“He doesn’t remember birthday, including himself.
When we went out in the early years, it took time to accept it.
I, on the other hand, loved the big celebration.
Irrfan will say, ‘I don’t know how many new days they create every year.

He added, “I gave up the idea for him every surprise gift.
Even though he would surprise me randomly by saying, ‘I have bought land for you, where we will build a farm.’ It has nothing to do with special occasions.
The day he felt like doing something special, he would do it.
Agriculture and safari forests make it feel peaceful.
”
This actor often teases his wife by saying, “Tumhara Kya Hi, you will fall for a man who will remember your birthday.”
Despite mocking playing, Sutapa followed his birthday ritual.
He explained, “I still continue to make Chawal Ki Khidir on his birthday.
He won’t know what to say to the people who are called to hope for him.
He is not comfortable by talking or receiving a small praise.
He hated taking narcissistic photos.
He often asks people, ‘Yaar Tumhare Paas so that the cellphone is HOTA, how come Tum Mujhe Yaad Nahi Rakhte?’ ”
He added that tears, “In April this year, it would be two years since his death and not one day passed without us remembering him.
What he really appreciated was the soul-to-soul of conversation, and I missed them with him the most.
Everything else can be compensated.
I have a friend who is there for me, but with whom I have great conversation people? My life is without good conversation now.
It’s hard to believe for me to understand the world without Irrfan.
”
As close as both, they have different temperaments, and Irrfan is the influence of calming his wife.
Sutapa said, “He taught me to be less anxious.
Me, people like high-pitched friends.
I scolded hard, love hard and laughed loudly.
Irrfan is a soft soul like our young people Ayaan, who is shy and gentle.
Thanks to what I have learned from Irrfan, I will ensure that Babylon (eldest child) chooses the best of the script, but I will not disturb it outside.
I will let life happen to him.
”
He concluded, “The biggest gift that Irrfan gives us is the ability to reflect on our thinking process.
The most difficult thing for practice in the film industry is honest.
He was detained by his honesty.
He never answered phone calls only to make some happy directors.
But when he was struggling with this disease for more than two years, he softened down.
He would say, ‘What if my criticism of someone’s art makes them lacking confidence?’ He realized that it was more important to be kind to others than being honest.
