JOHANNESBURG: Former President Jacob Zuma who had been guilty of humiliation and was sentenced to 15 months in prison for opposing court orders to appear before investigation investigated corruption allegations during his term of office since 2018.

He added that in determining prison sentences for Zuma, the court felt it was impossible to conclude that he would obey other orders.
“Zuma has repeatedly confirmed that he prefers to be imprisoned than working with the Commission or obey the commands made,” Khampepe said.
Zuma had previously expressed his reluctance to appear in the presence of a commission, which has so far heard the evidence directly involving Zuma in a mistake.
In the previous 21 page letter written to the chairman of the Mogoeng Mogoeng judge, which was said by the court as “embarrassing,” Zuma claimed that he was ready to be sent to prison.
