South Korea began covid vaccination for the age group 55-59

Seoul: South Korea kicked Covid-19 vaccination for people aged 55-59 years to accelerate the rate of inoculation campaign, because the country fought with a wave of fourth infection.
The launch of Covid-19 vaccination for people in their 50s experienced a stop throughout the week this month after recording the number of new cases in a hurry for shooting, tiring supplies available and crashed into official reservation sites.
About 6.17 million people, or 84% of those in their 50s, have registered for vaccination last week, and authorities switch to Covid-19 vaccine Pfizer / Biontech from Moderna Shot for some people in the group due to fluctuating the delivery schedule.
Authorities faced criticism for being a lack of inventory and for the last minute change while extending the dose interval for the 4-week Pfizer shot, not 3 to match modern.
South Korea has prioritized parents’ immunization, vulnerable health workers and front lines.
This has been inoculating 33% of 52 million populations with at least one dose, while 13% have fully inoculated.
Korean Disease Control and Prevention Agency reported 1,318 new Coronavirus cases for Sunday.
The total infection in the country established at 1.90,166, with 2,077 deaths.
Bulk testing and search have helped the country suffer from a lower level of Covid-19 mortality than other developed countries so far without full locking, but a wave of new infections encouraged the government on Sunday to tighten social distance rules in most countries this week.
Place transmissions on summer vacations.
