Seoul: South Korea has forgiven former President Park Geun-Hye, the Minister of Justice said on Friday, in suspension of dramatic sentences for ex-wandered leaders who were imprisoned for more than 20 years in a broad corruption scandal.
He was on a list of people who received special amnesty and forgiven from the “national unity perspective”, Park Beom-kye told reporters.
The park became the first president of South Korea in 2013, threw himself in the role of the nation’s daughter, not mortal and saw it no.
Less than four years later, he was delayed and overthrown after the corruption scandal triggered a large street protest.
The 69-year-old child served a prison sentence of 20 years due to bribery and abuse of power, with two more years after that for violations of election law.
Corruption scandals expose the shade link between large and political businesses in South Korea, with parks and close friends, Choi Soon-Sil accused of taking bribes from conglomerates, including Samsung Electronics, in exchange for preferential treatment.
The public backlash produced against Park and his conservative party helped push Jae-enter the month that leaned back into power.
