South Korea said open to dialogue with Japan

Seoul: South Korean President Moon Jae-in said on Sunday that his government remained open to dialogue with Japan to increase cooperation while trying to resolve the historic ranks that had listened to bilateral bonds.
Moon, in his release day speech marked the 76th anniversary of Japan 1910-45 Colonial government after World War II, said the two neighbors had to work together to “overcome difficulties” and foster cooperation based on the values of democracies and the shared economy.
“Our government always keeps the door open to dialogue to jointly respond not only to the problems of our two countries that are delayed but also the threat faced by the world, including Covid-19 and the climate crisis,” said Moon.
“For historical problems that need to be repaired, we will solve it through actions and practices that are consistent with the universal values and international community standards.” Relations have deteriorated with the lowest points in decades in recent years rather than a colonization reminder, after the Korean court ordered Tokyo to compensate for the victims who were forced to work for Japanese companies and in a military brothel house.
The verdict raises a rebuke from Tokyo, who said the problem was resolved under the 1965 agreement which normalized diplomatic relations and other arrangements made later.
Moon’s speech came two days after the Japanese Defense Minister visited Yasukuni Temple, the state imperialist past symbol and the flame point with South Korea and China.
Last month, the moon canceled plans to visit Tokyo for the Olympics and held his first summit with Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga after what his office was called a comment that was unacceptable by a Japanese diplomat based in Seoul.
The Moon has expressed hope that the game can be an opportunity to find diplomatic solutions for historical disputes and promote economic recovery along with Japan from Pandemic Coronavirus while reviving traffic jams with North Korea.
