Seoul: South Korea reported a new daily high for the Coronavirus case a day after the authorities imposed strict restrictions in areas outside the capital area of Seoul who wanted to slow the spread of infection nationally.
1,896 cases announced Wednesday took the total country for a pandemic to 193,427, with 2,083 deaths from Covid-19.
It was the highest daily leap since the pandemic began and surpassed a previous record of 1,842 which was announced last Thursday.
The Seoul area has been in the center of the plague.
On Tuesday, the government puts most non-Seoul areas under the second highest distance guidelines to guard the spread of the national virus.
