South Korea urges to leave Afghanistan at the end of July: Report

Seoul: In the midst of an unrelenting attack by the Taliban in Afghanistan, all South Korean citizens were asked to leave the country until the end of July.
Quoting the source at the State Foreign Ministry, Yonhap reported that traveling to Afghanistan from South Korea is currently being banned, and a violation of the ban was sentenced to one year in prison or a fine of ten million won ($ 8,837).
“Apart from our request, a small number of our citizens remain in the country for personal reasons and we plan to take the steps needed to help them displaced as soon as possible,” the official was quoted as said by South Korea news agency.
The official further stated that it was advised to leave the country before the situation deteriorated further after withdrawing US troops and blocked out routes.
He further noted that the delegation from Seoul visited Kabul last week to meet with residents who were abandoned in Afghanistan and urged them to leave as soon as possible.
If all attempts fail, the government has the right to file a criminal complaint against those left in Afghanistan, Yonhap reported.
Violence has increased in Afghanistan since the Biden government announced his decision to attract troops from a torn country war.
Experts believe that the growth of clashes between the Taliban and Afghan forces triggered fears that the country headed for the civil war.
