South Mumbai air quality is worse than Delhi in Mon

Mumbai: low wind speed, low temperature and high humidity together with vehicle pollution proves “deadly combination” for colaba on Monday, according to air pollution experts.
Tracking the level of pollution at the point of your city is the most membrane in your city recorded worse than Delhi when the capital is shaken in severe air pollution.
According to Safar, the air quality system and weather forecasting and research developed by Pune-based Tropical Meteorology Institute, Colaba has AQI (air quality index) of 345; The maximum registered in Delhi on Monday is 331.
A few days ago Delhi has set a pollution record with AQI dipped in 471, the “severe” level that affects even healthy and serious people affect the disease.
Usually, strong winds blow from the sea on the Mumbai peninsula saved him from the severe effects of air pollution.
However, Ronak Sutaria, the founder of the respirer science, which handles air quality monitoring, said Colaba also experienced emissions from smaller vehicles and ships.
The air quality in Mazgaon, BKC, Malad ‘very poor’ on Monday the east coast to Mazgaon has cargo ships and cruise ships, boats, catamarans, and fishermen trawlers operating day and night.
Dr.
Gufran Beig, Founder and Director of the Safar Project, said natural factors such as low temperatures, low wind speeds and high humidity have been combined to keep more particle material suspended in the air above Colaba, resulting in their concentration at a higher level.
“This is exactly in Colaba and is a feature observed here through our monitor during the winter,” he added.
AQI in Mazgaon (325), BKC (314) and Malad (306) also remained in the ‘very poor’ category and closer to Delhi level.
The AQI 301-400 is considered ‘very poor’ which means it can cause respiratory diseases to prolonged exposure.
Andheri at 259 is in the ‘poor quality’ category.
Chembur also appears in these categories, but the quality of the air remains within the ‘moderate’ limit on Monday.
Moderate aqi (101-200) can cause breathing uncomfortable for most people with prolonged exposure.
Saurabh Mahurkar, a resident of Venus’s apartment in Cuffe Parade, said he and his family had experienced high moisture and inhaling uncomfortable taste since the last few days even though the temperature was low.
According to him, even the wind speed drops.
While BKC, Andheri, Mulund and Ghatkopar are seen facing the burden of vehicle pollution, experiencing emissions cutters from Incinerators of Deonar, oil, gas, and chemical refineries other than power stations.
In Mumbai, it is a breeze that spreads polluted air which remains stagnant because of moisture.
It also prevents the temperature up.
“Is Mumbai not bordering the beach, Aqis can be worse than in Delhi,” Beig said.
According to Ronak Sutaria, the founder of breath of life, to ensure windy conditions and to maintain moisture in the bay, residents must try to reduce the effects of urban heat islands.
“The building must avoid the use of glass and adopt environmentally friendly materials.
Residents must be greener by planting more trees so that the moisture is absorbed,” he added.
Smoke from vehicles, burning of garbage and industrial and construction dust is also a factor that causes a decrease in air quality.
