New Delhi: Former Cricketer New Zealand Peter Fulton feels that New Zealand will emerge as the winner against India in T20i three-game series, which begins today, November 17, at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Fulton, who played 23 tests, 49 ODIS and 12 T20I for New Zealand between 2004 and 2014, feels the series will be close, but New Zealand, who lost the final of the World Cup T20 to Australia recently, will reach series 2 – 1.
T20i second will be played at JSCA International Stadium complex in Ranchi and will be followed by the third and final T20i at The Iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Timesofindia.com followed by Fulton and talk about the series T20i, the new captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli for the rest of this series and much more.
PTI PhotoHow Do you assess the chances of India against New Zealand in the series T20i? It will be an interesting series.
India’s early exit in the World Cup T20 and would very much like wearing a good performance in the series.
Rohit will lead the team.
He is a talented cricketer.
India will be keen to win the series under a new captain Rohit Sharma.
New Zealand players must be tired because this series began just days after the final versus Australia.
I’m sure New Zealand will put on a good show despite a tight schedule and heavy.
I predict a close series between India and NZ.
NZ will win 2-1 against India.
Which of the two players to fight, do you think, will be the two major clashes in the series? Rohit Sharma vs.
Trent Boult and Tim Southee vs KL Rahul will be a clash of interest and a key to watch (out) in the series.
Boult and Southee doing their best in T20 World Cup.
Both can play a big role for New Zealand in the series.
Southee and Boult need to stop Rohit and KL Rahul of scoring big to win the series.
KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma (AFP Photo) What difference do you expect to see in the style of captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli? Virat is a world class player.
He has taken Indian cricket to another level.
He is one of the best cricketers in the world with a great record on his behalf.
As a player and captain, he always enjoyed the game.
Do not have the pressure to be captain, Virat will score a lot of things in the years to come.
It would be interesting to watch him bat.
Rohit Sharma had guided the Mumbai Indians IPL for as much as 5 titles.
Some felt should have been handed the captain Rohit previous T20i.
Accept it …
Mumbai Indians is a very good organization and Rohit side very well cared for.
There are far more involved in winning the match in Cricket than captain.
Virat has been a big part of setting India and has a lot of cricket left in him.
He can play as long as he wants.
As I say, he is one of the best in the world.
Both of them have different qualities as captain.
That is cricket for you.
