Lucknow: To voice the worries of sportsmen, the Sawajwadi Party will regulate the Khiladi Ghera – Sit-in to highlight the government’s apathy on sports and sportsmen.
Protests in all states held at the district headquarters will coincide with the National Sports Day observed at the 29th anniversary of Dhyan Chand’s birth on August 29.
“BJP does not only seize sportsmen from the facilities they enjoy under the SP government, but the absence of sports policies, as a result there is no process to knock sports talent at a young age and maintain it to become a state and national level player,” Akhilesh said.
The main protest will be held at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium in Jhansi and Wil led by Incharge of Sp Sportsperson Wing Hasanuddin Siddiqui.
