Coimbatore: Former Minister of Local Administration Tamil Nadu S P V Velumani and BJP MLA Vanathi Srinivasan has dubbed the search by the Directorate of Precaia and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) in the place of his colleagues as the political vendetta of the powerful DMK.
Velumani tweeted thanks for the leaders of the Aiadmk Edappadi K Palaniswami and o Panneerselvam for their support.
He also thanked Mlaas’s party, former minister, party officials, friends and public to stand with him.
On Wednesday, DVAC search continues for the second day at KCP Engineers Privateers Ltd, run by Velumani colleagues.
While the first day of Raid ended in midnight on Tuesday, a team reached the 11-storey building in the Pealamedu in Coimbatore on Wednesday morning.
Armed police personnel were deployed in the office.
Velumani’s Close Associate Chandraprakash is the company’s implementing director.
BJP Mla Vanathi Srinivasan condemned the search and called them a political vendetta.
He said that DMK could not win a seat in Coimbatore in the election of assembly due to the presence of Velumani.
“They are afraid that they cannot win the upcoming urban local agency because of the high presence of former ministers,” he said.
