ThiruvananThapuram: The Fourth Special Council held by City Corporation in the span of three months on Thursday continued in the usual format with the opposition that registered the abundance supported by the numbers and then held a walkout without waiting for a reply from the head of the relevant committee or mayor.
While the special council held on Thursday was released from the usual political overdose for the main part of the session, finally both CPM and BJP were involved in exchanging heated comments.
BJP has called for a special board to discuss irregularities in solid waste management and cleaning activities.
The leader of the BJP M Ropan Parliament Party began a discussion that expressed party disagreements over the decision to reduce the duration of the board.
He then showed a contradiction in the waste management model proposed by the state government and corporate corporation glaring.
“The Chair of the Pinarayany Minister Vijayan continues to say that centralized waste management facilities are being considered, and here City Corporation talks about the decentralized model.
There is a lack of clarity,” he said.
