New Delhi: A group of cheat posing as CBI officers and jewelry outlets / raided manufacturing units in Karol Bagh and similar places in other cities have been arrested and five members are arrested.
Gang has made four back-to-back crimes in Karol Bagh in recent months, creating panic among business people.
The defendant was identified as Mohammed Ali (52), Mohammed Kabli (45), Anwar Ali (45), Shoukat Ali Jafri (55) and Mukhiyar Hussain (35) who lived in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
They used to travel from one city to another and commit a crime.
“The defendant was previously declared proclaimed by offenders by the court after committing a crime in Malviya Nagar, the Hindu Rao coal and the Vasant area,” said DCP (center) Jasheet Singh.
On June 27, PCR calls about winning 300 grams of gold by criminals posing when CBI Sleuth was received at Bank Street at Karol Bagh.
It was found that four-five people approached the complainant with the pretext of checking the bag and took the gold.
A registered pine and investigation began under ACP Vidushi Kaushik and Sho Manish Joshi.
The team scans CCTV footage from Karol Bagh Market to Pusa Road – covering a stretch of almost one kilometer.
A group of five suspects was seen in one of the recordings, while attending the complainant and leaving the crime scene.
Information networks and sources are used together with technical supervision to identify suspects.
Data from the train was obtained and analyzed, which showed that five men arrived in Delhi from Bhopal on June 26.
