Trichy: The federation for taking the Trichy Papannai-Thuvakudi service has urged the state government to accelerate and complete land acquisition for delayed road services for the Trichy-Thanjavur national highway.
Holding the press meeting in Trichy on Monday, the Federation said that the request letter was sent to the Prime Minister and the President searched for their intervention to make NH safer.

“The order of land acquisition was told by the authorities about 11 months ago, but still, the process was not finished.
Our repetitive demand for district administration, the state government and selected representatives in futile,” Sakthivel, the organizer of the Federation, said.
The absence of road services on the crucial NH caused fatal accidents, the residents said.
They accused some traders, who were not happy for land acquisition which influenced the prospect of their business, deliberately revoked the service road project by starting a proposal for a high corridor in stretching as an alternative.
The road service for 14.5km NH stretches along Palpannai and Thuvakudi have been delayed for a decade now.
