New Delhi: Last year ended with a dramatic note for Indian flights with passenger aircraft taking off without permission to control air traffic (ATC).
This incident occurred when Spicejet flight took off from Rajkot for Delhi without a mandatory nod on the second day of 2021 – 30 December.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) investigated this serious hose.
“A Spicejet Q400 (VT-Suq) which operates Rajkot-Delhi as SJ-3703 on December 30, 2021 takes off from Rajkot without ATC permission.
The pilot has been outside the list (take off flying) which is waiting for the investigation,” said the person People who know.
A senior DGCA official said strict action would be taken against those found responsible for the hose.
A spicejet spokesman said: “Pilots have taken off waiting for an inquiry.” A senior pilot said: “Serious things have happened, a plane takes off without ATC permission.
Probe will ensure how this happens and who is guilty.
Whether it’s a communication gap, error or something that needs to be found because things like that cannot be allowed to be repeated .
“ATC gives permission for airplanes or take off after ensuring, among others, that the runway is clearly without vehicles, planes or other people are there.
“The pilot started the push back from an airplane after getting an ATC nod.
Then the start-up engine was also done with their permission.
ATC then gave permission to line up (really ready to take off) and then took off.
Confusion sometimes happens between permission to march And take off, “said the other senior commander.
A number of foundation attacks have occurred because of the confusion between which two nods and takeoff – have been given to the plane crew.
For example, about two years ago, DGCA had suspended a license to fly a captain of an Indian carrier whose domestic flight was preparing to depart from Mumbai when it was mistakenly entering the runway actively without permission.
The investigation has revealed that ATC has instructed the pilot to hold on a foundation detention point.
While co-pilots have re-rerored ATC instructions correctly and give the same direction as pilot-in-command, the latter has violated the holding point of the runway.
