Hyderabad: With the aim of achieving 100 percent covid-19 inoculation in the next two weeks, GHMC kicks a special vaccination drive in the city on Monday.
Drive Vaccination is likely to be carried out at 5,200 housing colonies, areas and slums in the GHMC area and Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB).
GHMC has mobilized 175 centers of cellular vaccination within its limits and 25 additional vehicles in the SCB area.
The Civic body aims to vaccinate all those who qualify on September 9.
Secretary Chief Somesh Kumar visited a vaccination center in the old Quarter Cib in Khairatabad to oversee the settings made for special drives.
“During this special trip, a team will visit every household and identify those who have not been vaccinated.
The team will motivate people to get vaccinations and they will be informed of the vaccination center in their area with the previous date and time.
The main goal of this special drive is Make Hyderabad Covid-19 Covid-19 City, “Kumar said.
GHMC Wing Entomology staff, Asha and Anganwadi workers will visit households and prepare their list that has not been vaccinated and submit a list to the Ministry of Health.
Officials say stickers will be inserted at the door of each household where all residents have been vaccinated.
Also, to ensure that all people who meet the requirements of vaccinated, verification strategies are also applied by the authorities who oversee the arrangement.
After the vaccination process is complete in the colony, a team will be sent to a certain area to check the details.
The ‘fully vaccinated colony’ certificate will be given to the population welfare association after all those who meet the requirements in their colonies are inoculated.
