Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government on Friday appointed M Ravi and Sandeep Rai Rathore as a special officer for the Tambaram commissioner and the newly formed police officer in September 13, Minister M KT Stalin announced to the State Assembly that two new commissioners would be created.
As part of a larger Chennai City Police trifurbation, two IPS officers have been appointed as special officers to build infrastructure and other features.
Ravi, 1991 batch IPS officer, was a native of Dindigul.
He has a MSc and Doctoral degree.
Rathore, who is the 1992 Batch IPS officer, is a native of New Delhi.
He holds the title of Ma and M Phil.
The command issued by the Secretary of the Additional House of State S Prabhakar also said that the Inspector General of Police Albin Dinesh Modan will hold an additional responsibility for the addition of the Director General of the Economic Wing Police (EOW).
Adgp Abhay Kumar Singh was recently transferred from the EOW unit.
