Coimbatore: The Regional Passport Office has opened a special counter for pilgrimage pilgrims to submit their passport applications in Seva Kendra’s passport at Avinashi Road.
A nodal officer has also been nominated for the disposal of passports quickly for pilgrims from Coimbatore Regency, Salem, Erode, Namakkal, Tirupur and Nilgiris.
“The passport application process for pilgrims is permitted with high priority until 31 November,” said the regional passport office in a statement.
Hajj pilgrims, who have registered online and obtained ARN valid can take an appointment and approach the Passport of Seva Kendra at the time of the scheduled appointment, the statement said.
