Times News Network Varanasi: In a function held at the Commissioner Auditorium, The Postmaster General of Varanasi, Krishna Kumar Yadav released a special post cover and special cancellation on one district Varanasi One product (odop) ‘Banarasi Silk Saree’ on Wednesday.
Special cover has been beautified by affixing the Weaves Varanasi stamp from the Indian fashion series with Banarasi silk saree.
Commissioner Joint (Industry) Umesh Kumar Singh, Deputy Commissioner (Industry) Virendra Kumar, Senior Post Office Supervisor, Varanasi Division Eastern Division Rajan Rao and Assistant Inspector Paskajva Present on that occasion.
Speaking on that occasion, Yadav said that the special cover released on Sariya Silk Banarasi would provide global recognition.
Through this culture, art, legacy Varanasi will spread throughout the world.
Silk Varanasi is identical to the splendor and reality throughout the world.
The district offers a variety of tagged GI products with different displays, designs and patterns.
This craft has been practicing for more than 500 years and today around 29,802 weavers are associated with it.
Yadav said that Odop products include Saree’s Banarasi silk in Varanasi, carpets in Bhadohi, Zari Zardozi in Chandauli, gunny wall hangings in Ghazipur, wool carpets in Jaunpur and Bindi (Tikuli) in Ballia.
Apart from this, there are many such products that lose their identity and are being revived by the life of modernity and expansion, and the post department has an important role in this matter.
The Joint Commissioner (industrial) said that the objectives of the ambitious program ‘one product one product’ from the Uttar Pradesh government was to encourage this special craft and product.
The Post Department has provided a more unique identity by placing banana silk saree on a special cover.
In Lucknow as well, the POS department issued a special cover and cancellation of odop products from all 75 Uttar Pradesh regencies released by the chairman of Yogi Minister Adyityath together with the Head of Postmaster General Uttar Pradesh Circle, Kaushalendra Kumar Sinha during the program held under the campaign ‘Mission Shakti ‘At Lucknow.
