Bhagalpur: In the midst of a sharp increase in the case of high-grade viral fever and related complications, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical and Hospital (JLNMCH) has formed a separate ward for viral fever patients.
Apart from the case of viral fever, some patients suffer from typhus, very high fever, diarrhea and vomiting also made the way to Jlnmch.
The source at Jlnmch said the need for a special ward was felt to follow a sharp increase in the case of virus fever which also influenced the throat and lungs.
“More than 100 virus fever patients have visited JLNMCH in the last 10 days.
Private hospitals also saw an increase in such cases,” added the source.
Superintendent Medical Jlnmch Dr.
Asim Kumar Das said the special ward to separate patients with viral fever has been established in hospitals, including 30 beds in the pediatric intensive care unit.
“Likewise, neonatal intensive care units have also been told to take new special care with a viral infection contract,” he added.
“No need to panic from viral fever.
We have a lot of infrastructure and resources at JLNKCH to treat patients from every age.
