Patna: LJP MP from Hajipur Pashupati Kumar Paras was finally rewarded with the minister’s bed at the Narendra Modi Cabinet on Wednesday, more than three weeks after the coup in the party founded by his brother and former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan.
MLA Seven terms and one MLC term, the 68-year-old paras also serves as Minister of Government of Kumar Nitish when LJP is part of the Government of NDA in the state in 2017.
Holders of Gloves from Bhagalpur University, Paras has spent more than 45 years in public life.
Born in Saharbanni under the Alouli Block in Khagaria Regency, Paras remains a trusted lieutenant from his sister until he is still alive.
LJP offers it from Hajipur in the Sabha 2019 election about the recommendation of the Vilas RAM which he called ‘Saheb’.
On June 13, the Paras together with four members of the party parliament, held a coup against the son of Ram Vilas and the Head of the Chirag Pastras Party, who was also the leader of the LJP parliamentary party at Lok Sabha and the candidate to become an alone minister to his father after his death.
But his opposition to Bihar CM Nitish Kumar swallowed him and paved for the Paras to get a cabinet bed at the Ministry of Union.
Previously, Lok Sabha’s speaker recognized him as the leader of the LJP parliamentary party at home.
Later the paras was also anointed as the president of the separating LJP faction, which he claimed as the original, and was issued by Chirag from the position of the party’s national presidential party.
The Paras made his debut in politics in 1978 as a Janata party candidate from the Alouli assembly seat, which was previously represented by Vilas RAM.
He represents a seat in the Legislative Council of the State seven times, both as a member of the Janata and LJP.
He maintained his political aspiration under the shadows of Ram Vilas, who preferred to watch him from the constituency of Hajipur Lok Sabha which he represented himself for decades.
This shows the bond between the two brothers.
However, the Chirag nomination as the national president of the party made the paras angry, but he could not gather courage then to rebel against his mentor Ram Vilas.
The war of war between ‘Chacha’ and ‘Bhatija’ still continues.
Chirag Moves Court: Jatui MP Chirag Pastras Petitions in the Delhi High Court on Wednesday against the decision to speak Lok Sabha to recognize “expel” the paras to the LJP leader of the house.
Previously, Chirag strongly opposed the induction of the paras in the Union cabinet on Wednesday.
In a statement, Chirag said PM had the right to include anyone on his team, but as far as LJP concerning, Paras was not a party member, he said.
