Pune: Students who graduate from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) will have photos of their passport size printed on their marker sheets, according to new rules introduced by the university.
The proposal was submitted by the SPPU Senate and approved on Sunday.
This step is intended to limit malpractice, in connection with forging marksheets and degrees.
Members of the Senate Abhishek Bokey submit a proposal, which is approved in a round voice.
Apart from this, the Senate also discussed the cost reduction for the 2019-20 academic year, maintenance and repair of buildings and rooms, open book checks, sports complexes, written tests and installations of Savitribai Phuly statues on the university campus.
Apart from this, it was also decided to install 19 new lifts in various department buildings on the University campus.
Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari issued a special permission in this matter, said SPPU Vice-Chancellor Nitin Karmalkar.
