Pune: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), in relation to Harvard Business School, will soon offer 12 online courses for students and their alumni in various scientific disciplines.
While the cost of these courses in the open market is between US $ 1,200 to US $ 1,800, the SPPU will offer a course for US $ 300-US $ 400, said Nitin Karmalkar, Deputy Chancellor of SPPU.
He spoke on the sidelines of the first day of the annual senate meeting two days on Saturday.
“This course is designed by Harvard Business School and the faculty is theirs.
However, we have reached an agreement and will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with them so that our students, and alumni, can take advantage of 12 courses offered online by them,” added Karmalkar.
“They will be a certificate course and a diploma course.
Coursees will be on new era topics such as analytic data.
They will be offered in synchronous mode Aan for everyone,” said Apoorva Palkar, director of innovation, incubation and relationships in the SPPU.
NS Umarani, Pro-Vice-Chancellor SPPU, said the workers who worked and faculty members could find many beneficial courses.
“We hope to start offering this course in mid-October.
They have such a mous with nine institutes / universities in India and we are one,” Umarani added.
Meanwhile, the first round of the Senate Meeting had a member who discussed the last letter of the Higher Education Directorate who told the Director of Friend Division to see the prayers of the initial appointment of VC Nitin Karmalkar as a professor at SPPU.
