SPR cleaned from wild residents, razed illegal structures

Gurgaon: Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) on Tuesday cleaned up 1.25 hectares of encroachment land.
This illegal structure has appeared in the green belt along the South Peripheral Road (SPR) and service lane from the sector 62-65 road separator.
According to officials, deprivation has used government land for commercial purposes by building work camps, fitness centers, workshops, and shops.
The official record shows that Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) has obtained this land a few years ago for road construction and has provided compensation to the owner.
But after the acquisition, handed over to GMDA.

HSVP has acquired 90 meters on both sides of the SPR for green spaces and for further expansion of roads.

Demolition’s encouragement was carried out after several residents filed complaints in the CM window.
Rajiv Lamba, Officer Estate GMDA, said about 40 to 50 illegal structures were destroyed from green belts and service lines.
About 50 police from the Sector 50 police station accompanied GMDA officials at the Demolition Drive.
