Hyderabad: With the commercial launch of the Russian Vaccine Covid-19 Sputnik V has not lasted almost three months after receiving the Indian General Drug Controller (DCGI) authorization of Emergency Use (EUA), the Dr.
Reddy Laboratory on Tuesday said the commercial launch was not detained and expected in a few weeks upcoming.
“Dr.
Reddy will strengthen the Commercial Roll-Out Sputnik V in the coming weeks.
Both the ongoing soft commercial launch or work towards Ramp-Up in India has been postponed,” said the company in a statement.
Dr.
Reddy’s, which is an Indian partner of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), also said that the national soft vaccine launch has reached more than 50 cities throughout the country because the pilot was launched in mid-May.
The company, however, did not describe the reason for the delay in the launch of a full commercial vaccine, which had been postponed for almost a month to run from the mid-June timeline that had been announced by the previous company.
Sputnik V accepted the EUA nod in the second week of April and the soft pilot launch began on May 14 with the official Dr.
Reddy’s Laboratories officially get the first dose.
As part of the first phase of soft pilots, the company began to vaccinate his employees and their families and after opening vaccination to the general public also last month.
Since then the company slowly increases the availability of Russian vaccines in private hospitals throughout the country.
“Dr.
Reddy’s has partnered with a large hospital throughout the country for this purpose, all of which have managed to manage Sputnik V in India, including commercial roll-out ongoing to the public,” he said.
According to Dr.
Reddy’s, this vaccine has cities as far as Hyderabad, Vizag, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi NCR, Chennai, Miryalaguda, Vijayawada, Baddi, Kolhapur, Kochi, Pune, Nashik, Nashik, Coimbatore, Ranchi, Jaipur and Lucknow.
It has also been launched in cities such as Patna, Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Palakkad, Allahabad, Dijapur, Kohima, Indore, Bhopal, Letters, Cuttack, Dharwad, Ernakulam, Ratlam, Gandhinagar, Vadodara, Gulbarga, Madurai , Guntur, Kannur, Jabalpur, Jalandhar, Kanpur and Mysore, he added.
