Sputnik v is available at government facilities starting today

Gurgaon: Russian Covid-19 Vaksin Sputnik V will be available on the site of government session in the city, sector 31 polyclinic, from Saturday.
The Ministry of Health has claimed that Gurgaon will be the first district in the country to manage Sputnik V at the government location.
So far, Fortis and Medanta are the only private hospitals where Sputnik v is available.
Haryana Additional Secretary of Head (Health) Rajeev Arora will launch Sputnik V vaccination in the Polyclinic on Saturday.
The Department of Health Gurgaon received 4,800 Sputnik V doses on Friday.
Immediately, the department plans to make vaccines available at four more sites – sector 10 civil hospitals, primary health center Wazirabad, Pataudi civil hospital and SOHNA civil hospital.
The recipient can take the second dose after 21 days from the first Jab.
“We will manage 50 vaccine doses on Saturday with the first basis, first serviced.
People can walk in to get the Russian vaccine jab in our polyclinic in sector 31,” said Dr.
Virender Yadav, Chief Medical Officer, Gurgaon.
A total of 3,095 people have received the first dose of Sputnik V in a private hospital in Gurgaon so far.
Meanwhile, a total of 8,469 people in the age group 18-44 and 5,547 in the 45-plus category received Jab Covishield and Covaxin on Friday.
A total of 96 health staff and 136 frontline workers were also inoculated.
Overall, 14,248 Jab is managed.
The city witnessed six new Covid-19 cases on Friday.
Kaseload now stands at 1,80,749, where 90 is active.
On Friday, two Covid deaths were reported again, taking victims to 919.
