Moscow: Russian Sputnik V Vaccine against Covid-19 is 83% effective against the Delta variant of the Coronavirus novel, lower than the previous thought, Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko said on Wednesday.
The vaccine developer said in June that Sputnik v was around 90% effective against the Delta variant.
Claims have come at a time in June and July, when the authorities have blamed the wave in the case of the Coronavirus on a more contique Delta variant and the reluctance of residents to vaccinate widely regardless.
