Mysuru: Senior citizens alone who were alone were found under the mysterious state at his residence in Pragati Nagar at the rural police limit of Nanjud on Friday.
Based on the complaint submitted by his son, the police had taken a case.
SP R Chetan on Saturday examined his house.
He told Stoi that the cause of death was uncertain.
His son suspected the murder and claimed some of his jewelry – chains and bracelets were gone.
“We verify, but the earrings are intact,” SP said.
According to the police, Lalitamma, 82, was found dead at his home on the ground floor.
His son lived on the first floor of the same building.
The police have not found an external injury in his body except a drop of blood in the ear area.
The incident was revealed when relatives called his son and said his cellphone was turned off.
The body is handed over to the family after post-mortem.
