Colombo: Sri Lanka Bowling Stitching The Left-Rounder Arm Isuru Udana on Saturday announced his retirement from international cricket with direct effects, drawing curtains until a career for a decade.
Udana has a very simple international career with a sporadic appearance for 12 years where it only plays 21 ODIS and 35 T20 international with only 45 numbers to show their efforts.
The 33-year-old player, who is part of the series of excess limits on India which ends on Thursday, will, however, will continue to play domestic cricket and franchise.
He has represented the Royal Challengers Bangalore in several seasons back.
“Cricket is and will always be my biggest love and I always give 100% I both inside and outside the field, respect and enforce the spirit of cricket and national pride always,” Udana said in a statement posted on his Twitter.
Pacer said that he felt the time right for him to step aside and paved the way for younger plants.
“However, I believe time has arrived, for me to retire from international cricket to make a way for the next generation player,” Udana said while notifying his decision to Sri Lanka Cricket.
Middle-sleeve Pacer has made his T20i debut in 2009 against Australia at the T20 World Cup where Sri Lanka lost the final to Pakistan.
The game girl’s game came against India in 2012.
“I am proud to have served my nation, and Sri Lanka Cricket with dedication, commitment, and maximum desires with a group of people who have touched my soul with relationships that never end friendship,” he added.
“Sri Lanka Cricket Wishes Udana, who is a valuable player on the White Sri Lankan team, the best in his future effort,” SLC said on his website.
