COLOMBO: Sri Lanka on Wednesday refuted misgivings caused by an alleged evaluation from the US embassy due to this danger of terrorism from the nation after it upgraded its travel advisory, warning Americans against travelling to this island country.
Even the Sri Lankan ministry of defence stated that based on its assessment, there’s not been any data on any danger of terrorism or associated actions in the nation.
The US embassy’s travel , according to a grade 4 categorisation of the amount of safety from Sri Lanka, had warned its citizens from traveling to Sri Lanka.
The US embassy at a tweet on Tuesday reported that the State Department had upgraded the traveling for Sri Lanka in Level 3 (reconsider travel) to Level 4 (don’t traveling ) solely because of prevailing COVID-19 scenario in the nation.
“There is not any change to this terrorist threat level,” it stated.
The US contains four degrees of travel advisories.
