Colombo: Sri Lanka will receive the largest contribution in Covid-19 vaccines from Japan which will provide 1.45 million doses of Astrazeneca countries through Covax facilities to help the country fight the Coronavirus crisis.
The Japanese Embassy here said Japan responded to the government’s request which was part of Tokyo’s support for Colombo.
Japan has provided Sri Lanka $ 16.2 million to help fight Pandemic Covid-19.
The biggest donation of the previous 500,000 vaccines to Sri Lanka derived from India – Vaksin Astrazeneca Covishield.
