Sri Lanka Receives 2nd vaccine Contribution from China

COLOMBO: Sri Lanka has obtained 500,000 dosages of Sinopharm coronavirus disease given by China because the Indian Ocean island country faces severe lack of vaccines amid a current increase in infections. The vaccine inventory that came early Wednesday will be the next contribution from China, after a shipment of 600,000 dosages in March. Sri Lanka is facing a lack of vaccine following the manufacturer in neighboring India failed to offer the guaranteed Oxford-AstraZeneca drug stocks. The government on Tuesday agreed to purchase 14 million doses of Sinopharm out of China. The present census program is centered on Sri Lanka’s Western nation, which contains the funding of Colombo and its suburbs. It’s the point where the vast majority of the nation’s coronavirus cases happen to be. Sri Lanka thus much has reported 167,172 coronavirus instances and 1,243 deaths from Covid-19.
