Staff Contractual Road Punjab, PRTC about unlimited attacks

Chandigarh: About 8,000 contractual employees from the state-owned Punjab road and the PRTC on Monday continued an unlimited attack, demanding regularization of their work.
Personal buses, however, continue ply in the state.
More than 2,000 buses from the state-owned Punjab road and Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) remain outside the road, Punjab Roadways, Punbus / PRTC contract union workers Resham Singh Gill.
He said only 200 to 300 buses operated by regular employees would ply on the streets.
Unlimited call attacks cause discomfort for many passengers who usually travel with state-owned buses.
Employee protests held a demonstration in many places and caused slogans to the state government because they did not access their delayed old demands.
They also threatened to surround to the residence of the Head of Punjab Minister Amarinder Singh at Suswan in Mohali on Tuesday if their demands were not accepted.
Gill said that in July and August, they assured that their regularization requests would be fulfilled.
Although two cabinet meetings have been held since then, the problem continues to remain unresolved, he added.
The “apathetic” attitude of the state government towards demands they forced them to break down, Gill said.
In addition to regularization of work, protesters also demand an increase in the size of the fleet of around 2,500 buses today to at least 10,000.
