Noida / Ghaziabad: When a strike by government ambulance workers entered its fourth day, the Ghaziabad government decided to take the help of highway staff to encourage vehicles in an emergency.
The key to most ambulances has been taken from the driver, which is determined to continue their attacks until the government justifies their demands.
Until now, 13 of the 38 government ambulances were removed for emergencies.
In addition, private hospitals have been asked to put up with their vehicles.
However, in Noida, the ambulance driver calmed their vehicles after being convinced that their demands would be considered.
The problem with ambulance workers began recently when the state government gave a contract for the ALS ambulance (advanced life support) to new companies.
Most of these drivers have been associated with the previous company since 2012.
“About 60% of the ambulances are on the road in Ghaziabad.
While the driver of the government plying some of them, we have arranged personal support for others.
Road racers are also for all types of emergencies , “said Shailendra Kumar Singh, ADM (City) from Ghaziabad.
The drivers accused them of being under constant pressure from the government to end the strike.
However, they are determined not.
“On Wednesday, the key to some of our ambulances was handed over to officials.
On Thursday, they took most of the vehicles with them.
Even after this, they wanted us to end the strike,” said Brij Mohan, the President of the District Jeevandayini Swasthya Vibhag 102, 108 and Als an ambulance of Union employees in Ghaziabad.
In Noida, meanwhile, everything is better.
The drivers handed over their appeal to the district government but was persuaded to work.
“We waited to see if our demands were filled.
But we also don’t want people to suffer,” said Subhash Yadav, an ambulance driver.
There are 34 government ambulances in Noida.
These include 14 vehicles for 108 calls, 17 for 102 calls and three have ALS.
