Coimbatore: More than 30 people from various organizations conducted a sit-in at the Polachi sub-collector’s office on Monday, demanding the police to order non-dalit landlords, accused of ordering their employees to attack the Dalit youth in Animalai, below SC / SC ( Prevention of cruelty) acts and to capture HIMPROTESS including members of Tamil Desiya Viduthalai Iakkam, Dravidar Viduthalai Kazhagam – Indian Welfare Party, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, Tamil Pulgal and several other organizations.
They also submitted a petition to the sub-collector.
In their petition, they said a Dalit youth was destroyed by the gang of six members following the instructions of the non-dalit landlord and officers of the former Ramasamy army.
Although the police registered a case against six people and Ramasamy, they did not order ramasamy under the SC / SC law.
