Minister of Tamil Chairman Nadu M Stalin on Tuesday alleged that there was uniform corruption by the City Administrative Department headed by the minister at the time, the Smart City Projects in Chennai.
Stalin said the probe would be made to determine the deviation in the way the previous government had spent several crore rupees provided by the City City project center.
Speaking with reporters in Chennai after reviewing flood assistance work on Monday, Stalin said the action would be taken on the wrong contractor entrusted with city smart projects.
“Nobody knows what they are (AIAdMK) with crores rupees given by the Center for Smart City Projects, ” he said.” There is no work done by the City Administration Department under S P V Velumani.
They only accept commissions, “he said.
Stalin said they were doing rain assistance work despite poor implementation of smart city work, which ideally will discuss the problems faced by the city during severe rain.
He said the investigation would be made after rain assistance work.
