Stalin celebrates Diwali with NarikuraVA, the ELUAL community

Chennai: This year’s light festival ended a long struggle for basic facilities by Narikuravar and the Irula community in the village of Pooncheri and neighboring areas in Mamallapuram near Chennai and put the way for “new and dignified life”.
The villagers unanimously in their praise from the chairman of Minister M K Stalin, who visited their village in Deepavali Day on Thursday “to restore their dignity”.
For the next, “we will be treated respectfully and not looking low.
CM visits have sent a clear message to government officials”, said Ranjith and neighbors.
Cm then tweeted that the core ideology of the Dravidian movement is to protect self-esteem from marginalized parts of the community to ensure social justice.
There is a long way to get rid of social crime (caste and class split) which has been very rooted in the community for thousands of years, he added.
Stalin, on Thursday, reached out to Narikuravar and the community with a bundle of welfare measures worth 4.53 crores as a prize diwali.
“This is the day to illuminate the life of the Community of the Irau and Narikuravas,” Stalin said.
“Ashwini is not denied food, but respect and charity (HR & CE).
Ashwini has aired complaints and alleged discrimination recorded and widely circulated.
SDM & CE Minister P K Sekar Babu sat with him for Annadhanam in a temple at Mamallapuram last Friday and promised to bring CM to their village.
“He gave us a sense of respect and new meaning for our lives.
Now, we will stay here in the hope that our children will get good education and our community will be taken care of,” Ashwini said.
He added that Cm asked about the welfare of his family members.
“It was a good signal by Periya Thaivar (great leader),” he added.
CM Distributed House Pattas worth RS 3.52 Crore to 81 people during the program held in the village.
He also provided a community certificate (ST) to 88 scheduled caste members, Narikuravas membership cards and ST Board membership cards to beneficiaries.
He directed authority to overcome their complaints and expanded the welfare steps within two weeks.
He visited their home and interacted with family members.
CM issued orders to take development work worth 75 lakh under the urban development scheme of Kaaignar.
He instructed officials to build Angganwadi and additional classrooms in Panchayat Union Elementary School.
“There is no darkness in our village and our lives again,” Vellaimma said, pointing towards the street light.
