Chennai: The Chairman of the Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin, who drives his DMK for a spectacular victory in the April 6 assembly selection, is likely to attend virtual interactions with the President of Congress Sonia Gandhi on August 20.
Confirm that the leadership of the Congress has held a virtual meeting.
Next Friday, maybe in an effort to bring together non-BJP parties, a senior leader DMK said Stalin would likely take part in the meeting.
“We expect an official invitation today.
Maybe it will be accepted by his office (ministerial head),” he said, adding, Stalin, the president of the ruling party, will be present if invited.
The head of the DMK had followed in the footsteps of his deceased father M Karanganidhi in inviting congressional leaders to the state on various occasions and always painted the picture of unity with them.
Even in regulating protests against the law of citizenship amendments, both the parties, who are allies, presenting a performance in opposing the Government of Narendra Modi-LED in the middle.
Before this, Stalin proposed the name Rahul Gandhi to post the Prime Minister for the 2019 Lok Sabha poll, when the opposition party leaders gathered here in December 2018 for launching his father’s statue and former main minister of struggle by Sonia Gandhi.
