Coimbatore: Chairman of the Minister M K Stalin inaugurated a drinking water project for 212 villages in Pollachi North, Polchi South and Kinathukadavu Union Panchayats here on Saturday.
It was applied at a cost of 69.31 crores.
Minister of Electricity V Senthil Balaji examined the project after the inauguration.
He said the project would ensure the supply of round water to the village.
He said they were trying to supply drinking water to all urban and rural areas in the district every two days.
“Active work to prepare detailed project reports for several drinking water projects to increase the supply frequency.
After the project is complete, they will be presented before the Minister of Chief over his approval.”
