Stalin lied about the promise of polls: palaniswami

Chennai: Opposition leader and coordinator with AIDMK Edappadi K Palaniswami on Saturday alleged that the chairman of Minister M K Stalin lied on the implementation of the promise of polls.
Stalin, at the beginning of the day, said that 202 of the 505 promises made by DMK were filled in four months.
“He has forgotten about people after becoming a minister,” said the AIADMK leader.
Speaking at a party meeting in Chengalpet, the former main minister said the DMK had confused people and took advantage of the ignorance of the community.
Only four or five promises have been fulfilled, he said.
The party promises a monthly assistance of Rs 1,000 for women’s housewives, neglect of gold loans, educational loans and increases in retirement of old age to 1,500 per month.
But nothing is applied, said EPS.
He alleged that the DMK did not have the courage to deal with AIDMK in the local body election directly, and the refusal of the nomination papers from the Aidmk candidate in Kallakurichi was a testimony for it.
Palaniswami alleged that State Minister of Finance of PT Palanivel Thiaga Rajan did not attend the meeting of the last GST council to avoid questions from the finance minister of fuel UNI under the Ambit GST
